The Cancer Center called and Cooper will begin radiation treatments Monday, March 9 and should be done with last treatment April 22.

Friday Sherry took Cooper up to school - a serendipitous visit because they just happened to be taking a class picture for the year book. So Cooper got to be in it! Sherry said all the kids and teachers were thrilled to see him. We hope to have him in school next week for a few days before having to "move to KC" for a month and a half for radiation.

with much love

  1. Cooper,
Sounds like everything is in place, now to get to K.C. and get this next phase over and done. Just in time for the good Spring weather, the end of school, and then SUMMER! We are always so glad to know you are doing well, you are in our every prayer along with mom and dad! God is good and you are surely a testament to that. Remember we are here if you need anything. As always we send our love and prayers, The Card Family

  2. Well, contrary to what most people think about me (mostly jane card...) I must be living right because I got to see Cooper two times in three days--woo hoo!!! You look fanatastic, Cooper. I am in awe of how you have handled all that you have been through and the manner in which you are approaching what is to come. I'm so honored to know you! So brave and so courageous, and your family and you are such a wonderful example of faith. I know it is you whose life has been touched so drastically by this cancer, but Cooper, if only you knew how profoundly YOU have touched so many lives these past months! You have taught all of us so much.
Hopefully you'll get to come to school a little this week. Remember, if you're only coming for half a day, be sure to come in the afternoon so you can see your favorite Spanish teacher!!!
Again, so great to see you and your mom and dad at Mass this morning!! Enjoy your day. Hope to see you again soon!

  3. Cooper! Mrs. Hardy and I were thrilled to see you yesterday at Applebee's....hope you had a good lunch! I will just ditto most of Mrs. Black's comments...you ARE truly an inspiration. Hope Lodge is where Liam and Jennifer stayed some of the time. It is really clean and nice. You will be in my prayers everyday, especially during your treatments. Keep up the good work, enjoy the little things and May God keep blessing you always.

Wow! You look so good. It was great to see you and you parents at mass. God has been so good and I know He will continue to be. I also ditto everything Mrs. Black said. I'm so proud of you and stand in awe of your strength and poise. May God bless you and keep you and send His angels to watch over you always.
